A beautiful location for Maternity Photography is Old Westbury Gardens . It is a great location in Long Island, New York for taking wedding photos. It is also a fantastic location for portrait sessions that include maternity, engagement, family, Sweet 16 and Mitzvahs. This beautiful and picturesque location is filled with lots of lush greens, pathways lined with trees, and beautiful rows of flowers and roses during the spring and summer.

Central Park Maternity Photoshoot – NYC Maternity Photographer

Pregnancy is a special time in a woman’s life and no matter if it’s winter, spring, summer or fall, having a Central Park Maternity Photoshoot is always magical. It’s no wonder that most of my clients from NYC and from out of town all want to have their maternity photos in Central Park. The park is enormous and it offers so many beautiful locations to have your photos taken. There are so many beautiful locations which offer beautiful backgrounds that include trees, water, fountains, bridges, the terrace, rocks and of course some of the buildings.

For this photoshoot we took some photos with some greenery in the background and then finished up the photoshoot by Bethesda Terrace and Bethesda Fountain, two landmarks in Central Park. Since it was a very hot day we were able to hide in the terrace for a bit to cool off.

Long Beach Long Island Maternity Photography

Long Beach Long Island Maternity Photography

It was an honor doing this Long Beach Long Island Maternity Photography session. This session was planned right before the start of the summer and we had a beautiful day. We first started the photo session by taking a few in studio portraits against a regular white background. I always like to add some drama especially on pregnant bellies so I did a few photos with some dramatic lighting. Afterwards we drove down to Long Beach just in time to catch the sunset. We first did some photos on the boardwalk and then walked to the sand to get some shots with the sunset in the background. I used both the natural golden hour light for some of the shots and some flash for some dramatic photos. I love both styles and I always try to shoot both ways to give the client two different looks to choose from. It is always exciting to see their reactions when they see the photos using the flash as it always illicitates a huge WOW from them.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. Let me know which style you like better. Pastel skies or rich and dramatic skies. Or both.

Central Park Maternity Photos – NYC Maternity Photographer

It was a beautiful June day in NYC for Vanessa’s Central Park Maternity photos session. Vanessa contacted me weeks ago about having her maternity photos taken in NYC once she knew that she and her husband would be visiting the Big Apple. She chose Central Park for her maternity session because of it’s diversity and I couldn’t agree more with her choice. Central Park truly does offer so much diversity and it is so picturesque. From buildings, to trees, to bridges, the lake, the rocks and the beautiful architecture at Bethesda Terrace there really is something for everyone. It is a beautiful park to visit during any season. We started her maternity photos by one of my favorite spots near the lake and then walked over to the Terrace by the stairs, the mall and underneath the Terrace taking advantage of the beautiful light in the tunnel.

As much as I love doing in studio maternity photo sessions, taking maternity photos outdoors can also provide for beautiful pictures. It can also provide a variety of backdrops. This couple contacted me looking for a casual and rustic fall themed shoot. The day of their session arrived and the weather was really unpredictable. There was no rain in the forecast, however, it was raining in certain areas and not raining in others. As I was driving to meet them I was almost about to cancel the shoot. Fortunately the couple agreed to meet me at another location and we were able to still have the session. :o)

I absolutely loved the simplicity of their outfit choices. I loved Mama’s cowboy boots to!
