Long Island Pre-Sweet 16 Photos

I am always excited to do a Long Island Pre-Sweet Photos session. Turning sixteen is such a special time in a young lady’s life that it deserves to be honored with not just a beautiful dress and Sweet 16 party, but with beautiful photos that she will have to cherish and remember this special occasion. And having a pre-sweet 16 photo session prior to the party has so many advantages.

Stephanie is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. So full of smiles, laughter and joy. I loved meeting her and her mom. We all got to know each other quite well while I was taking her photos and we talked all about the party. I learned that it was going to be a Disney theme. When I heard this, I felt like a kid again. You see, not only is Stephanie a huge Disney fan, but so am I. She wore a gorgeous pink gown and tiara. Just like a Disney princess. We started her pre-shoot by taking some photos in a pretty white and blue summer dress and then quickly moved on to the pink gown. We took some indoors and then went to one of my favorite parks and finished the shoot over there. Here is where Stephanie got to dance and twirl in her big gown. I was excited about the party, as was she and was happy to be the one that was going to capture the photos for what I knew was going to be an awesome party.

I really love doing these pre-Sweet 16 sessions, because they are such a beautiful season of life for these young girls. Long Island, NY Sweet 16 Photography/Allie’s Sweet 16

Last month I was asked to photograph Allie’s Sweet 16 at the Coral House in Baldwin, Long Island, NY. We all know how crazy the month of March can be. My birthday is in March as well and I can tell you that I have seen it snow on my birthday and I have seen it as warm as 80 degrees. Sure enough we had a snow storm one week prior to the event, but fortunately on the day of Allie’s big event the weather turned out to be somewhat pleasant allowing for us to get some beautiful photos outdoors on Milburn Lake of Allie and her family. It was somewhat chilly that day, but Allie did not seem to mind going outside to get some pictures taken since she was used to being at ice rinks most of her life watching her big brother Nick play ice hockey. I tried to move as quickly as possible capturing as many shots as I could and then we all moved inside the Coral House to take a few more pictures of Allie as her court arrived.

And then the party began.

Happy Sweet 16 Birthday Allie! I had a wonderful time shooting your birthday party and it was lovely to meet you and your family.
