How does a Session work?

We will choose a date for your session and a tentative location, i.e., your home, your backyard, a park, a beach, etc.  I can also offer suggestions for locations.  Once I receive your down payment, you will receive additional information on what to wear and session details. I will then contact you again a few weeks before your session to finalize all session details.

 

How long will my portrait session be?

Some portrait sessions are longer than others…on average sessions last a minimum of 1 hour.  For newborn sessions, the session on average takes 2-3 hours to in order to allow for soothing and nursing time.

 

How long until I get to see the proofs from my session?

You will see your private online gallery in about a week’s time, sometimes sooner, depending on workload.

 

Do I get all the pictures on a CD?

Your session fee never includes a CD unless it is a mini session.

 

How long to get prints from the day I order?

You can expect delivery of your products within two weeks depending on the nature of your order.  Prints and CDs usually arrive within 7-10 days.  Gallery canvas and metal prints will take longer.

 

Do you do your own printing?

No.  All prints are printed by professional labs.  While this may not be the most cost effective way, it ensure the printing is done by printing professionals and it shows in the final product.  Even though I go over each image before submitting it for printing, my lab corrects each one again.  You can expect amazing sharp, bright, colorful prints.

 

How are payments accepted?

A $50 down payment is due at the time of booking your session. This can be paid via Paypal, Chase QuickPay or credit card.  Your balance must be paid in full before the start of the session.  Full payment for any additional print/package orders must be received at the time of your order.

 

What is the refund policy?

Due to the custom nature of photography, the session price and all products ordered are non-refundable.  All products must have your final approval before being printed.

 

If I cannot make my shoot can I reschedule?

Yes, definitely.  However please give at least 24-48 hour notice.

 

What if I have an outdoor session and it is raining?

I will reschedule your shoot to a later date.  I pay close attention to the weather forecast and may call off the session even 2 hours before session start time.  Generally if the forecast calls for less than 60% chance of showers, I will stick to the session date and time.  When it is an 80% chance or higher, I most likely will call the session off and we will have to reschedule to another time.
